Wednesday night Steven Curtis Chapman's daughter, Maria Sue died after being hit by car. The little was only 5 years old. Her brother was driving the car at the time. This accident reminds me to value the moments. To value life and the time you have with family and friends. Only a few months ago SCC released a song called CINDERLLA, its about a dad dancing with his daughters and how he knew something the prince never knew, that all too soon the clock would strike midnight and the moment with her would be gone.
SCC in an interview talked about how the song came from his releazing the need to take time to enjoy the moments. How true that is now in light that is youngest daughter is no longer in his arms but is in the arms of Jesus. She is safe and happy so it is not for our her that I grief but rather for her brother that was driving. May God given him grace to release that moment and the peace to go on.
My heart is also full, that I too may live for the moments and enjoy the moments. Because we never know what will happen in the next moment. We never know how our lives will change moment to moment. Time goes by quickly and we grow old fast, we need to be careful to enjoy every moment that life gives us. Also take time today to pray for the Chapman family and for Will. May God cover them in his grace and peace during this moment of pain.
