Reverend Jack
It’s been 30 years since the Reverend Jack started his church down the road and today he has 30 members. Yes, others have come, but they got mad and left too. Reverend Jack is faithful though to be every Sunday and Wednesday in his pulpit and have a message to preach no matter if it’s to 100 or simply to 2. He spends the same amount of effort and preparation for his sermon no matter how many he preaches to. Reverend Jack is an excellent preacher but there are other things as well, that one really must understand about him, that really only I can explain. See the Reverend Jack, he is the one that cleans the toilets every Saturday so that they are sparkling clean on Sunday and those nice neat vacuum lines on the platform, he made those too. Many do not understand and many just really do not care what the Reverend Jack does for the church and for his people too. How he is always there when they need him and how he goes wherever they need to him to go. How his door is always open to them. How he listens to their problems and gives them whatever help is needed. One also must also know that the Reverend Jack, he also works another fulltime job at the local grocery store not just to witness, although I’m sure he does that too, but so that the churches lights can stay on. He works fulltime for both and the store and the church, and did I mention his family? Yes, the Reverend Jack he has a family. He has a wife who is just as faithful as he. She also helps to clean the church, do the books, do children’s church and youth, care for her own children and decorate the building too on top of all that she works another fulltime job so that their family can eat. See many forget, they see this man of God and forget he is a man too. He’s an amazing Pastor but just as amazing as a husband and a father. He has 4 kids, a daughter and three sons. He loves his children very much and would do anything for them. His whole entire life has been about giving, giving out to those around him. Giving to all who he sees, I know he’s never reaped his full reward or seen his whole harvest come in. I know the people in the church never really appreciated the gift they had in him, and I know they never saw what a priceless treasure that he really was. I know now; however, he’s now received his harvest, I know he’s reaping his reward. Because you see, Reverend Jack went home to be with his Lord and I know that up in heaven all his sowing will be worthwhile and his reaping ever abundant. There is also something else to this law of sowing and reaping it does not stop because his live has ended. It rather goes on to his children and his church because as the bible says the children reap the blessings of their parents. There really is something to be said about that, I know because Reverend Jack sowed as he did I am reaping a harvest off of his seed. How do I know, because I am the Reverends daughter. I was there as he cleaned the toilets every week and vacuumed the floor and then stayed up till three working on his Sunday sermon. I remember all the hospital calls and house visits. I saw all he sowed and I know up in heaven he’s reaping off that seed and down here on this earth I’m reaping because of him. Because my daddy was faithful to do as Jesus said I walk in many blessings and have seen his church grow. The Reverend Jack he knew how to sow, he knew the principal of sowing and reaping and as for me I want to be just him, just like my daddy.
